Our inaugural indigenous guernsey designed by Breakaways players Sacha Gratton and Carleah Flinders.
The design is a representation of all of the players within the club showing that even though we are all from different backgrounds we come together as a unified group intertwined with each other to perform at our best. The sash across the guernsey represents the Goolay'yari river that Newtown trains alongside, and in the middle are the gatherings of the teams out on the field. We call the Midjuburi (lilly pilly) area our home. These Lands belong to the Gadigal and Wangal people of the Eora Nation. We recognise them as the traditional custodians of the valley where we play.
